Dear femme

For those of you who work in formal settings, this outfit is a great way to add a little spice to your work-drobe and pretty easy to incorporate into your everyday working girl routine.

As you can see I couldn’t just wear black and white, I had to add a little ‘somethin-somethin’, to make things a little more interesting and add some characters. As I once read “Boldly dare to be a “Pop Of Color in a black and white world”- and that’s what I did! And before I forget, remember to keep the jewelry and make up to a minimum trust me you don’t need a green Smokey eye and winged eye liner, so avoid having a lot going on.

Here are a few rules that may make it a little easier for corporate girls, didn’t come up with these rules but changed most of it.

Keep it basic– Wear colors that are commonly accepted (i.e. blue, black, grey, red, nudes.) being the lone spot of hot pink floral, in a sea of grey and black, may make you appear less serious to your less fashion forward workmates.

Keep it casual– Wear your jeans on a day when you don’t expect any large meetings or conferences. During client meetings, conservative is the key, pair it with some hells to look chic instead of the weekend type of casual.

Keep it traditional– Wear prints that have been around longer than you have, this means hounds tooth, checkered, stripes, etc. Some prints are gorgeous, but too confusing to ever bring at work.

Keep it reserved– Wear items that aren’t too tight, too low cut, or too short. You don’t need to look inappropriate.
